Danelle M. DeGroodt

Danelle M. DeGroodt

Executive Director & Board of Directors

Danelle DeGroodt is the Founder and Executive Director of the William K. Brinser, Jr. Foundation. Prior to establishing the Foundation, she was an established professional in Event Management, Sales and Customer Experience. After traveling the world with Maritz Travel Company, she joined the Building Insulation team at Johns Manville in 2005 and held several roles during her almost 15-year tenure. She left JM in 2019 to run her own LLC specializing in her areas of expertise. She later joined the team at Appalachian Insulation Supply as well. After the unfortunate passing of Bill Brinser, she decided to retire from the Insulation Industry and focus on the Foundation full time. She is a ’00 graduate of the University of Columbia – Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys running and swimming, reading, cooking and spending time with friends and family. Currently she splits her time between Lake St. Louis, MO and Nashville, TN with her 2 Labrador Retrievers JD & Waylon.

Courtney Hambro

Treasurer & Board of Directors

Courtney Hambro is the Treasurer of the Board for the William K. Brinser, Jr. Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, Courtney served as a professional fiduciary for over 19 years. In 2002 she founded Lotus Fiduciary Group where she was appointed as Trustee, Daily Money Manager and Power of Attorney for hundreds of individuals and estates from all over the country. During her time as a fiduciary, Courtney acted as an expert witness in highly litigious cases, was a published author in the Colorado Lawyer, and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Creditcards.com on several financial related topics.

Courtney is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs and Management. She was a finalist for the Colorado Ethics in Business Award two years in a row and a recipient of the 40 Under Forty Award in 2010. In 2021, Courtney sold her company and retired. Now, in her spare time, she enjoys traveling, creating art, working on her ranch with her husband, riding her horse and spending time with her family and friends.

Frank Janney, Jr.

Frank P. Janney, Jr. is a results-driven operations leader with over 30 years of progressive experience in capital-intensive, complex, continuous operations manufacturing environments.  He is currently Group Plant Manager at Johns Manville, responsible for JM’s North American fiberglass building insulation plants.  Frank is an accomplished turnaround specialist recognized for transforming underperforming facilities, a successful builder of high-performing teams, and a fiberglass manufacturing process expert.  He has held leadership roles with increasing responsibility in multiple JM facilities including Production Supervisor, General Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, Plant Superintendent, Plant Manager, Multi-site Leader and Division OPEX Leader.

Over the years Frank had the privilege of working closely with William K. Brinser, Jr. on many levels and they became good personal friends.  Like Bill, Frank grew-up in the PA/NJ area, started his career as an hourly laborer, and worked his way up to executive leadership.  His first job was at JM’s Penbryn, NJ manufacturing plant as a Machine Attendant working on the production floor.  Soon after, Frank started pursuing a college degree in order to further his career.  After 10 years of night school, and while working full-time rotating shift work and raising a family, he received his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix. Currently he resides in Denver, CO with his wife Jo Anne and their 3 children Grace (21), Caitlyn (21) and Jack (19). Frank is honored to represent the Building Insulation Industry as Director on the William K. Brinser, Jr. Foundation Board.

Jill Weimer

Jill Weimer serves as Vice President and Director of Advancement for Fr. Tolton Catholic High School in Columbia, MO.   Jill received BSBA degrees in Marketing and Management from the University of Missouri’s Trulaske College of Business. She began her career in Operations Management for Sprint, then returned to Missouri to work in her family’s insurance business, where she specialized in collateral protection for banks and financial institutions. She began her advancement journey with her alma mater, MU. Within their advancement division, she served as a major gift fundraiser for the Business School, a relations manager for the College of Engineering, and most recently, as Director of Annual Giving & Membership for the Mizzou Alumni Association.  Founded in just 2011, Tolton Catholic is the first and only Catholic high school to serve the Columbia community.  Jill was hired to establish the new school’s advancement operation in early 2012, where she continues to oversee fundraising, corporate relations, events, alumni programs, marketing and admissions.   Together, she and her husband, Brian, have three children – Alex (22), Garrett (17), and Grace (15).
